What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Forms
We have forms on the site, such as the Booking Request Form and Newsletter Form. We do not store any data regarding the forms on the site. The information that is filled in the form by the user is just sent to the admin’s email. We do store an encrypted log on our database that contains the date, action (e.g., submit form), and an encrypted email that cannot be read. These logs can only be accessed directly from the database and not the CMS. It is just a GDPR security measure.
Newsletter Form
On the footer, we have a newsletter form where the user can add their email. The information is not stored in our database, it is just sent to Mailchimp via an API (application call), and the email is automatically stored in a list inside Mailchimp, only after the user accepts & verifies their email (Mailchimp’s double opt-in).
Cookies
A cookie policy notification shows up the first time you enter the site. If the user accepts the terms, then a cookie is stored in the user’s browser. It contains no personal information, just the acceptance, and it is stored for 60 days, unless the user clears their cookies. The same applies to the notification (special offer) popup cookie (1 day).
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. We do not store any data regarding the forms on the site, and we do not store newsletter subscription data in our database. The cookies we use are stored for 60 days, unless the user clears their cookies. The notification (special offer) popup cookie is stored for 1 day.

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
