Sailing and Weather Conditions
Halkidiki, with 550 km of coastline, is perfect for yacht sailing thanks to its Mediterranean climate and mild winds. Summers are dry with winds of 5-15 knots, ideal for beginners and relaxed sailing. The best time to visit is June to September, with July being the hottest month (26°C) and August offering the warmest sea (25°C). Early October remains warm and sunny for outdoor activities.

Transportation
By Local Bus
From Thessaloniki city center, take the No. 45 OASTH to KTEL Halkidiki Bus Station (30–40 minutes). At the KTEL station, board on a bus heading to Nikiti.
The trip lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours. The bus will drop you off at the main road in Nikiti.
By Car
Driving to Nikiti is straightforward. Head south from Thessaloniki via the EO Thessalonikis-Poligirou road. Follow the signs for Sithonia/Nikiti (a distance of about 100 km). Travel time: Approximately 1.5 hours.
By Plane
Fly to Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG).
From the airport, you have two options to reach Nikiti:
- Take a taxi or the public bus to the KTEL Halkidiki Bus Station, then board a KTEL bus to Nikiti.
- Alternatively, book a taxi directly from Thessaloniki Airport to Nikiti.
Travel time: Around 1.5 hours by taxi.
Taxis are available 24/7 at the airport.
- Rent a car from Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG) and drive to Nikiti (see above instructions “by Car”)
Provisions
In Nikiti Marina, you’ll find supermarkets, mini-markets, and bakeries within walking distance, along with local fish markets and taverns. For leisure, there are boutiques, gift shops, and stores, as well as cafes.

- Mon-Fri: 08:00am – 09:00pm
- Sat: 08:00am – 08:00pm
- Sun: Closed, but mini markets may be open for essentials
